Barbados’ tally of COVID-19-positive cases reached 170 yesterday, after four people tested positive for the viral illness out of 242 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The new cases are a 21-year-old Trinidadian woman, who arrived yesterday aboard a Caribbean Airlines repatriation flight from Trinidad; a 24-year-old female visitor, who arrived on British Airways on August 27; a 48-year-old Barbadian man, who arrived on Jet Blue on August 15 and tested positive on his second test; and a 22-year-old Barbadian female, who had contact with a visitor from the United Kingdom.
No one will be discharged from isolation today, so there are now 22 people in isolation, and recoveries remain at 141.
The laboratory has completed 16,780 tests
