Barbados has recorded two more cases of COVID-19, a non-national and a Barbadian who arrived on separate British Airways flights a week apart.
The new positives were out of the 205 tests conducted yesterday.
The cases are a 37-year-old male visitor, who arrived on a British Airways flight on August 11, and tested positive after his second test, and a 25-year-old Barbadian male, who also arrived on a British Airways flight on August 18. Both males are asymptomatic.
This brings the total number of covid-19 cases in Barbados to 155 – 81 females and 74 males.
One person was due to leave the Harrison Point isolation facility today, after testing negative for a second time so that a total of 123 people have recovered from the viral illness and 25 remain in isolation.
To date, the Public Health Laboratory has completed almost 15 thousand tests.
