The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP), says while it applauds government on its handling of COVID-19 so far, its recommending new measures to prevent a second wave of the disease in the country.
President, Dr. Lynda Williams says the cost of reopening the country has to be weighed against the health of the Barbadian people.
She says all persons arriving from high and medium-risk countries should be quarantined for a period of 14 days with daily monitoring for fever or COVID-19 symptoms
Dr. Williams says BAMP is also concerned about large groups gathering at this time.
