Power has been restored to sections of Bridgetown affected by a power outage earlier this morning.

There had been reports of members of the public hearing a loud explosion in the vicinity of St George Street near to Jubilee Gardens.

Officials from the Barbados Light and Power company Limited are currently still on the scene conducting investigations.
