Second phase of fifty million dollar road program to start soon – plans in works for south coast fix.

Minister of Transport and Works, Dr. Williams Duguid, says the next phase of government’s 50 million dollar road repair program is to start soon with five stretches of road already being done or currently being worked on and ten more to commence shortly.

Dr. Duguid says work in the IDB-funded program is currently focused in the north of the country. The minister says there are also plans to fix the roads in the south of the country but that will be under a second program for which funding is currently being sourced. And, he notes that this will have to be coordinated with plans for other infrastructural work and mains replacement planned for the south coast so they are not just repairing a road to dig it up again.
