The pit-bull owner charged in connection with the death of 74-year-old Verona Gibson, was granted bail in the sum of 65-thousand dollars, with one surety, when he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court this morning.
The elderly lady was walking along Monroe Road, when she was attacked by a pack of pit bulls. She died on the scene.
48 year old Peter Christopher Rock, of Monroe Road, Haggatt Hall St Michael, was not required to plead to the indictable charge, that he unlawfully caused Gibson’s death on January 28th.
Rock was ordered to surrender his passport to the court and to report to the Boarded Hall Police Station every Monday and Thursday with valid identification.
He is scheduled to return to court on July 27th.
