Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has issued a call for action by global leaders to do everything within their power to combat the effects of climate change.
She made the call as she accepted the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity for her leadership on climate action and policy.
The Prime Minister was among three honorees including 15-year-old Ethiopian American innovator Herman Bekele and the nonprofit food relief organization, World Central Kitchen.
Miss Mottley addressed the gathering after being introduced by Barbadian youth environmentalist Maria Marshall in Abu Dhabi this morning.
