Minister of Environment and National Beautification, Adrian Forde, is warning beachgoers to take responsibility for cleaning up after their activities.
His warning comes after piles of garbage were found along the shoreline at Paradise Beach in St. Michael this morning, reportedly left behind following a private event.
It’s believed that several pleasure boats gathered on Boxing Day, with hundreds of partying goers disembarking onto the beach and the litter was the aftermath of that event.
When Starcom Network News revisited the area Minister Forde was on the scene. He condemned the behaviour, warning that it would not be tolerated.
He however praised the efforts of people who volunteered to clean up the beach after hearing Starcom Network’s Lunchtime Edition of the latest.
