Barbados has recorded its 50th homicide for the year.

Starcom Network News has confirmed that a man was shot dead last night at a shop at Spooners Hill, St. Michael.

This Xmas Eve shooting takes the murder toll in Barbados for 2024 to the fifty mark, which is the highest total ever in a single year.

This is more than twice the twenty homicides recorded in Barbados in 2023.
