A.I threatens local jobs

The Barbados Human Resource Association warns that some jobs may become redundant due to technological advancements and the introduction of artificial intelligence in workplaces.

President of the Human Resource Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB), Nicholas Roberts says it is necessary to train individuals to work alongside AI and other technologies.

He made these remarks during the media launch for HRMAB’s upcoming conference in October, which aims to help businesses train and retool their staff for the future.

He wants businesses to be proactive in training their staff to take on new roles.
