Barbados has recorded yet another fatal shooting, homicide number 18 for the year so far.
The deceased has been identified as 17 year old Dashawn Hinkson of Rock Hall, St. Philip.
A statement from the Barbados Police Service says that officers from District C Police station responded to a shooting that occurred about 10:41 pm Friday at Rock Hall, St. Philip.
The police say the victim was liming with a few other friends when they were approached by three gunmen men who opened fire.
Hinkson was struck multiple times and ran to a neighbour’s house to seek shelter.
He died inside the home.
A medical doctor pronounced death at the scene.
