Veteran soca performer Ras Iley, real name Darcy Small is stressing the importance of the legacy of the traditional calypso art form and of honoring the veteran artists who paved the way for the younger generation.
He was speaking ahead of his Ras Iley and Friends show that comes off this weekend.
He stressed the importance of recognizing the calypso and soca trailblazers and disclosed that veteran performers, the Mighty Gabby, RPB and Mac Fingall will be honored at this year’s show.
