Some Barbadian artistes are calling for the opportunity to headline shows that are held in the country.

This follows major events last week where international and regional artistes were the main headliners.

Entertainer Michael “Mickey” Mercer believes while artistes are thankful for opportunities, they should be given the chance to be more than opening acts.

Artiste Faith Callender echoes the same sentiments.

However, Veteran Calypsonian Stedson “Red Plastic Bag” Wiltshire says he is happy with the Barbadian artistes inclusion at major events.
