Government indicates the long-mooted Hyatt Hotel project at Bay Street, St. Michael is still set to become a reality with contract agreements being worked on.

A brief update was provided by Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill, after Opposition leader Ralph Thorne called for a report card on a series of projects that had been announced for the stretch running from Needham’s Point to the Pierhead.

Mr. Thorne told the House of Assembly during the continuing estimates debate that the public deserved to know the status of these long-announced plans.

Mr. Gooding-Edghill pointed out that the project falls under the portfolio of a different minister but said he would nevertheless respond.
