Two men have been charged for the murder of 28-year-old Mitchel Nicholls, one of the proprietors of the Nicholls Bakery family business.
The North Criminal Investigation Department of the Barbados Police Service arrested and formally charged 20-year-old Victor Hoyte of Exchange Hill, Saint Michael and 26-year-old Devere Gittens of 2nd Avenue Bibby’s Lane, Saint Michael for the murder of Mitchell Nicholls between the 23 and 25 of December 2023.
Nicholls of Pond Bottom, Westmoreland, St. James was last seen on December 23 by his adopted mother Cheryl Nicholls.
They were also charged with arson to a motor car belonging to Nicholls Bakery Inc. on 24 December 2023.
The two men are scheduled to appear before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 10th January 2024.
