A group of contract workers employed by the National Conservation Commission, NCC, to clean highways is complaining about not being paid.
The group of about a dozen workers gathered at the NCC headquarters this morning claiming that they were to be paid per meter but now are being told they will be paid per day and that some payments are being withheld.
They also claim they are owed money dating back to 2021.
They contacted Starcom Network News to voice their concerns. We have disguised the voices.
However, NCC General Manager, Ryan Als, insists it’s a straightforward matter of the work for which they are demanding pay not being done and they won’t be paid for work they didn’t do.
