Four people have been killed in a plane crash off Bequia in the Grenadines.
According to St. Vincent and the Grenadines news media the crash occurred around midday shortly after the plane took off from the James Mitchell Airport on its way to St. Lucia.
The four bodies were recovered from the sea by the St. Vincent Coast Guard assisted by boaters from Bequia.
Onboard the plane were a 51-year-old American man, his two children aged 11 and 13 and the pilot who was from Bequia.
The four were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
