A new Portside Fire Station is nearing completion.
A team of officials led by Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams, Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard and the port’s Chief Operations Officer Ian Stewart toured the 2.8 million dollar facility this morning.
Mr. Abrahams says the station will be outfitted with vehicles capable of responding to chemical disasters and other crises.
