Sam Lord’s “Soft Opening” Next Month

The four hundred room Sam Lord’s Castle property, after years of construction, is set for what’s called a soft-opening next month with an initial 300 staff. It will be the largest hotel in Barbados.

Operated by Wyndham Resorts, the Barbados-government-constructed property will eventually employ about a thousand people.

A recruitment drive continues.

Starcom Network News has been provided with an update by Joy-Anne Haig, of Haigh Communications the PR consultant to the Barbados Tourism Investment Incorporated, the state-agency responsible for the 240 million US dollar Sam Lord’s construction project.

Ms. Haigh notes the limited opening scheduled for September 30^tand the high interest among job-seekers and the intensifying of the hiring process.
