NCF: “Shared Kadooment Decision Making Comes With Shared Responsibilities Like Costs”

The National Cultural Foundation insists there is a significant consultation with stakeholders on Grand Kadooment while warning that shared decision-making may require sharing responsibilities for staging the event, including costs.

The NCF’s Chief Executive Officer, Carol Roberts-Reifer, was responding to statements by the Barbados Association of Masqueraders in which they are asking to become a decision-maker in the planning and execution of Grand Kadooment.

She stressed the decision on this year’s route was agreed on by all the key players.

She also addressed the issue of a bigger decision-making role.
