Police Commissioner Richard Boyce has joined the Attorney General in promising a no-nonsense approach to policing Crop Over.
Speaking at a media briefing he said that the police will have the support of the Defense Force to ensure a safe festival with zero tolerance for bad behaviour such as those who attempt to illegally enter events.
He pointed out that while there has been an 8 percent increase in minor crime for the year so far compared to last year, serious crime is down by one percent.
Mr. Boyce promises the police will on an all out effort to reduce serious crime even further.
He reports progress in investigations into the attempted robbery on a ZR which went viral on social media with a suspect already in custody.
