Tsunami Advisory Issued for Barbados

A Tsunami advisory has been issued for Barbados.

A Tsunami advisory is issued when there is confirmation of a Tsunami, but it poses no threat to Barbados. They are used to prevent
unnecessary evacuations.

DISTANT EARTHQUAKES HAVE OCCURRED.

A series of large earthquakes have occurred near 61W20N (approximately 160 miles NNE of Barbuda.

There are no impacts expected from the Tsunami in our area.
