BUT Wants Overhaul of Role of School Security Guards

First Vice-President of the Barbados Union of Teachers and chairman of its Occupational Safety and Health Committee, Julian Pierre believes the role of security guards at schools should be reviewed and changed.

His comments come as a number of people have been raising concerns about security at schools following a recent incident at Frederick Smith Secondary.

Mr. Pierre tells Starcom Network News security at schools has to be increased and he also believes each school should have more than two security guards.
