Barbadians will now have the option of having documents from the Barbados Immigration Department delivered to directly to them.
This was announced by Chief Immigration Offer, Margaret Inniss this morning during the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Barbados Postal Service for an expansion of the delivery services.
Ms. Inniss stated that the increased collaboration between the two government departments could see an 85 per cent reduction in the number people having to physically come into the office for collection.
Speaking during the MOU signing Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams applauded the initiative, saying it has proven to be efficient and secure.
He also disclosed that plans are underway for the Immigration department to increase its no contact services.
