Covid Outbreak at the Geriatric Hospital

A Covid-19 outbreak at the Geriatric Hospital on Beckles Road, St. Michael has caused temporary suspension of visits to Ward 6B.

According to a release from the Government Information Service, four patients have tested positive for the virus between Monday, May 29 and today.

The Ministry says it is closely monitoring the situation and measures have been put in place to control the spread of COVID-19 in the hospital.

Members of the public will be informed as to when visits will resume on Ward 6B.
