The Barbados Manufacturer’s Association today launched its Sustainable Organic Feed Manufacturing project in which farmers will be trained in using food waste to help make organic feed.

Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, Davidson Ishmael supports the initiative.

He also said funding will be provided to farmers who are interested in being in being involved in the initiative.

Meantime Chief Agricultural Officer, Keely Holder, notes that this initiative could help reduce the cost of animal feed.
