A man in his nineties has died in a house fire in St. Lucy.
The blaze occurred at Mount Johnson, near Josey Hill.
The police say fire officials received a report just around 1:56 pm that a wooden and concrete brick structure was engulfed in flames. Eight fire officers led by Divisional Officer Marlon Small responded to the scene.
The house was destroyed.
Police say the elderly occupant perished in the blaze.
Up to late this afternoon police and fire officials were still at the scene trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.
