Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology Davidson Ishmael reports that thousands of people have been coming forward to collect their new Trident ID cards.
He was speaking with Starcom Network News on the sidelines of the opening of the Science and Technology Festival at the UWI Cave Hill campus.
Mr. Ishmael disclosed that the backlog of undelivered cards has been considerable reduced.
He also says that the waiting time from application to collection has been significantly reduced.
