Meantime, the St. Stephen’s Nursery School remained closed today as the authorities try deal with what’s described as environmental concerns in the area.

President of the Barbados Union of Teachers, Rudy Lovell, is concerned about the number of school closures this term due to environmental issues.

Mr. Lovell says the union is working with the ministry to find a solution to these challenges.
