MP Caddle Calls for Corporal Punishment to be Removed at Schools

Member of Parliament for St. Michael South Central, Marsha Caddle is calling for corporal punishment to be removed from schools.

Speaking this morning during the opening ceremony for “I am a girl” international women’s day workshop, Ms. Caddle believes in order to address conflict resolution in the education system, corporal punishment needs to be abolished.

Referring to a statement from the UN Women, that there are high levels of violence against women in the Caribbean, Ms. Caddle stressed the importance on addressing violence without the use of force.
