Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Indar Weir, reports a significant increase in food production and has announced plans to commence exports to the UK.
He was speaking in the House of Assembly as the estimates presentation focused on his ministry.
Mr. Weir provided figures to show the increase in production of various food crops, ranging from to three to eighty percent.
He announced a plan to export a hundred million sweet potatoes to the UK over time.
