Around 20 general workers at the Barbados Community College this morning stopped work over a number of grievances.
It’s the latest in a series of such strikes at various public and private sector entities.
General Secretary of the National Union of Public Workers, Richard Greene, met with the BCC workers and says the union will be meeting with the Board of Management of the BCC to get the issues resolved as soon as possible.
Mr. Greene stressed that classes at the college were not affected by the work stoppage.

Meantime the Principal of the Barbados Community College, Annette Alleyne, said she was unaware of some of the issues.
