A concerned parent of a child at the Belmont Primary School wants the Ministry of Education to upgrade security there following a shooting in area over the weekend.
Starcom Network News understands that a car involved in the shooting damaged the school’s main gate in the occupants’ bid to escape.
When we visited the scene this morning, parts of the vehicle were still at the scene and the main gate was heavily damaged.
Starcom Network News spoke with PTA President Kimberly Haynes who shared her concern about the safety of students.
Mrs. Haynes wants the matter to be addressed urgently
When Starcom Network News tried to reach Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer Bradshaw on the matter, we were told she was in a meeting.
