A passenger on a public service vehicle has been shot in full view of others travelling on a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) triggering panic as people jumped through windows to escape the gunfire.
This was the scene that played out at Eagle Hall, St. Michael around 8 o’clock this morning, the latest in a spate of gun violence that is causing great concern in the country.
The shooting occurred outside the popular R. A. Mapp Bar and Rotisserie which had not yet opened for business.
But, a witness who was sitting across the road in the nearby public market, told Starcom Network News about what transpired.
He spoke of a gun man driving up in a red car and opening fire on a man in the yellow PSV van before speeding off.
The eyewitness was left traumatised.
A female vendor was also nearby when the shooting occurred.
Kennedy Leacock the owner of R. A. Mapp Bar and Rotisserie said his business was not yet open when the shooting occurred.
But one of his workers echoed the general concern.
