10% Economic Growth Predicted for Barbados this Year

The Barbados Central Bank reports the country’s economic recovery continues with a growth of around 10% predicted for this year and another 3-5% in 2023.

This was revealed by Central Bank Governor Cleviston Haynes as he presented the economic review for January to September of this year.

Mr. Haynes notes that the global outlook presents challenges.

However, he expects continued tourism recovery to spur further growth in the Barbados economy next year.

He stressed the importance of planned government reforms.

Mr. Haynes also says global food and energy prices have started to fall and will eventually filter through to Barbados providing some ease to consumers.
