One of three people shot last night at Nelson Street in the city has died.

Twenty-six-year-old Rashawn Alexander was fatally shot in the chest, another man was shot in the buttocks and a woman was shot in the ankle.

They were among a number of people liming on a block when two men rode up on a motorcycle and opened fire.

Some relatives of the deceased say he may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

His grandmother told us of hearing the gunshots and hoping her grandson was not caught in the middle of it.

She recounted the last time she spoke to her grandson.

Meantime, Rashawn’s aunt demands justice and for action to be taken to end the gun violence.
