An American airplanes flight enroute to Barbados from Miami has had to turn back after an in-flight incident created an emergency.

Starcom Network News understands that the AA flight with a number of Barbadians onboard was due to land at Grantley Adams International Airport around 9 30 pm tonight (Wednesday night) but has returned to Miami and is now on the ground there.

Sources tell Starcom Network News that some liquid in a passengers luggage appeared to have spilled creating a pungent order that made it difficult for some passengers to breathe.
The plane was then turned around mid-flight and headed back to Miami Airport.
