Residents at Fairfield, Black Rock are shocked at the apparent suicide of a neighbour.

The police say they responded to a residence at Fairfield Main Road about ten minutes past twelve yesterday afternoon and found the body of a female hanging from a rafter of a shed.

The 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

Residents of the area were surprised and saddened by the development.
