Concern Over Controversial First Form Questionnaire

Concern Over Controversial First Form Questionnaire

The Barbados Union of Teachers wants the Ministry of Education to explain the rationale for a type of test or survey reportedly administered to first formers with some very sensitive questions.

The questions reportedly related to such issues as sex, drugs or alcohol use, and their relationship with their parents.

BUT President Rudy Lovell tells Starcom Network News he has received many queries about the matter.

General Secretary of the National Council of Parent Teacher Associations, Nicole Brathwaite, also wants the issue clarified.

Miss Brathwaite also believes the policies at the Frederick Smith Secondary School need to be clarified following the reported lock-out of students.
