Land Acquisition Plan Worries Christ Church Coast Land Owners

There is concern among some landowners along a section of the Christ Church coast about a reported plan by the government to acquire the properties for development.

A notice published in the newspaper upset land owners at Bath Village, St. Lawrence, and Dover.

The notice published in the press on Wednesday, September 21st  advised of a plan to acquire the land for purposes deemed by the Minister responsible for lands as public purposes namely road improvement, car parking, environmental improvement, and tourism development.

A spokesperson for the St. Lawrence, Dover, and Maxwell Residents Association, Adrian Donovan, tells Starcom Network News they have called on government officials to attend an urgent meeting to discuss the situation and a way forward.
