Government Confirms Sugar Exit

The Barbados government confirms its plan to privatize the sugar industry and exit the sector.

This has been reiterated by Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Indar Weir, on VOB’s Down to Brasstacks call-in program.

In addition to the existing players in the sector, investors will be sought.
