The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners urges caution on the planned further relaxation of Barbados’ covid-19 directives from month-end, amidst speculation that the home isolation period will be reduced.
President of BAMP, Dr. Lynda Williams, tells Starcom Network News that BAMP has not been consulted on the planned changes but she wouldn’t be surprised if the ministry of health moves towards following international trends.
She says BAMP’s support for such a step would depend on certain factors.
Dr. Williams believes Barbados should maintain a cautious approach rather than copy what’s being done overseas.
