COVID-19 CLAIMS ANOTHER LIFE

Barbados has recorded yet another COVID-19-related death, that of an 87-year-old woman who succumbed to the viral illness on Saturday, August 6. Her passing has brought the COVID-19 death toll to 502.

Three hundred and five new COVID-19 cases; 100 males and 205 females, from the 811 tests carried out on Sunday, August 7, by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Of the positive cases, 33 people were under the age of 18, and 272 were 18 years and older.

There were 67 people in isolation facilities, while 3,385 were in home isolation.
