Grand Kadooment and Foreday Morning bands say they struggling with slow registrations with less than two weeks to go before the two major Crop Over events.
President of the Barbados Association of Masqueraders, Anthony Layne, tells Starcom Network News the process of making costumes is already an expensive one.
He adds the entire situation becomes even more difficult with the slow registration and challenges with intraregional flights.
He is appealing to the relevant authorities to assist local band leaders.
