Scores of nurses who are members of the Unity Workers Union as they staged a protest march this morning from Cheapside to the Golden Square Freedom Park.
They chanted “we have rights” and “no retreat, no surrender”.
General Secretary of the UWU, Caswell Franklyn, says the nurses will continue their industrial action until the many issues affecting them are properly addressed.
He adds that the ongoing strike will continue, and the nurses will not give up until all matters are rectified.
