Member of Parliament for the City of Bridgetown and Minister of Health and Wellness Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic has reportedly signalled his intention to bow out of elective politics at the end of the current term.
Usually reliable sources tell Starcom Network News that Colonel Bostic has informed his Barbados Labour Party City Branch during a zoom meeting that he will not be contesting the next election.
Lieutenant Colonel Bostic is a retired Barbados Defence Force officer who has carried a heavy burden over the last year and a half in managing Barbados’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The branch was reportedly told that Lieutenant Colonel Bostic having spent so many years in service to his country wants to spend more time with his family.
