Government’s storm response committee was meeting this morning as they plan for repairs to the almost two thousand homes said to have been damaged during the passing of Hurricane Elsa.

Minister of Housing and Lands, Dr. William Duguid, says almost a hundred houses have been destroyed.

He updated journalists this morning after a tour of hurricane damage at Rosemont, Deacons, St. Michael where workmen from the National Housing Corporation were carrying out repairs

They have already completed repairs to units at the neighbouring Fernihurst development.

Dr. Duguid says more than 250 NHC units sustained damage during Hurricane Elsa.
