Police identifies fatal shooting victim

A 29 year old man was shot dead last night at Deacons, St. Michael.

The police say they responded to Deacons Road, having received a report about 1020 pm. The caller said that there were several gunshots heard in the area and that a man appeared to be dead as a result.

Several police units responded and on arrival confirmed that one man was dead at the scene.

The deceased was identified as Shem Cummins of Block 4D, Neptune Road, Deacons Farm, St. Michael.

The victim is the son of a well known local soca artiste and song-writer.
