Barbados health officials insist there was no cherry picking or white privilege at play when a number of people were vaccinated yesterday at the St. Christopher Primary School.
A WhatsApp message being circulated alleged that the centre was specially created so that more than a 100 people of a certain racial group could received their vaccines away from the crunch at some of the other centres.
This has been denied by those in charge of the programme.
Coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme Major David Clarke tells Starcom Network News that there was absolutely no way of knowing based on an address and phone number what the colour of the people would be or any other factors.
He says no special request from a particular group was received or granted.
