Welcome Stamp Success

A more protracted than expected COVID-19 pandemic has slowed applications for the Barbados Welcome Stamp relocation initiative but tourism minister Senator Lisa Cummings reports it’s still been a success.

In an interview with Starcom Network News, Senator Cummins disclosed that the program was on track for huge numbers prior to international air travel especially from Britain and the UK being essentially shut down, but interest still remains strong, largely based on Barbados still maintaining a relatively good reputation for managing the pandemic.

Senator Cummins explained that given the travel restrictions in the UK and Canada, the US has become a key source of welcome stamp arrivals.
